Trovi.com is a browser tool bar that incredibly comes preloaded when you buy a Dell computer. While you can still become infected with the program without a Dell computer, those who have bought a computer from Dell may have seen this annoying program. While Dell rejects the claim that Trovi.com is spyware, the fact of the matter is the program effects the computers performance, gathers information, changes browser settings, and is difficult to remove. This makes me question Dell's honesty regarding the program. If Trovi.com isn't spyware then why make it so difficult to remove?
In order to remove in manually the program you have to go into your Windows registry. Once inside the registry look for the .MSI file associated with Trovi.com, right click on it and click uninstall. But if you are not very good with computers I highly recommend to NOT starting deleting and uninstalling programs in your registry. This can cause much worse problems than Trovi.com. You can cause hard drive malfunctions and corrupt your registry.
